Boy Launched Baby Off Inflatable Pillow

Friday, July 4th, 2008

What’s wrong with this world…

A Youtube video lead to the arrest of a teen for what he filmed himself doing. In the video he places a baby on an inflatable pillow and then someone jumps on the pillow launching the infant across the room.

A south Georgia teenager posted the video on Youtube and now he’s charged with felony cruelty to a child.

The 16-year-old was babysitting the eight-month-old when he pulled the stunt. A school teacher saw the disturbing video and called the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s not going to be funny when the judge gets through with him,” Sheriff Harold Breeden said. ”He’ll think twice next time, you know, about how funny it was.”

Breeden has asked the baby’s parent to have the child seen by a doctor. It’s unclear if the baby suffered any injuries from the fall.

OKAY WTF! I watched this shit and was fucking disgusted I had to post this here. Why would you do that? A baby for Christ sake..A helpless baby. You think people are going to laugh with you? And then had the audacity to videotape it and put it on youtube? How can anyone even leave their kids with baby sitters anymore if this is the type shit that goes on? I swear if I knew this kid he would catch a serious case of street justice laid upon him. I know you probably think like damn…is it that bad.

Walgreens and the Election.

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I don’t know how I somehow connected these two events in my mind but they are. Everyone knows Black people love their hair for the most part, men and women alike. So I was in Walgreens getting something from the hair section. I got one product and then proceeded to the check out area. In most Walgreens there is the front/main checkout, and another checkout in the beauty section. In the BEAUTY section you’re supposed to go there mainly if you’re buying beauty products. Well this old white lady decided she’s going to fill her cart to the freaking brim, and get checked out in the beauty section.

Now the short story begins -

The old lady with her cart full to the brim is first up. Behind her is another white lady with 2 items, and behind her, is a Black man, we’ll call him imaG (me) with 1 item. The elderly white lady was so sweet, she realized it would be inconsiderate of her to make us wait, so she told the white lady to go ahead of her. The white lady replied, “Thank you!” all ecstatic and what not. So I figured hey I’ll get to go next! NOT! The old lady turned and looked at me like this…

Darkie!

…AND I’m guessing she saw a Black man and decided in her mind, “fu*k this nigga, his time don’t mean shi*t” and then she told me, “You know YOU should go up to the front!” The checker gave me a look like “just ignore her.” So the old lady took her sweet time getting checked out, and wrote a check instead of using cash to make my wait that much more agonizing. I managed to hold my tongue and not say anything to the old lady after all I figured she didn’t know any better. Common courtesy doesn’t extend past a persons skin color according to her. Oh well…

This is somewhat farfetched but for the Black people in the U.S., would you want someone of her generation to be President? I wouldn’t. So get up and go vote.

The main reason racism still exist today is because parents pass it to their children. They breed racism. I’ve read through a bunch of forums and have seen countless people proclaim, ”Hillary better win, otherwise I’m going to vote for McCain, I have a bad feeling about Obama.” I wonder how they feel now that Hillary is backing Obama…Do you think these so called Democrats would really vote Republican to make sure a Black man doesn’t make it to the Oval Office?

Are Public Schools Harming Our Children? Pt. 1

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

A look into the public school classroom. Students sit around with looks of boredom and discontent on their faces.

Have you ever wondered what goes on in your child’s head, or even in their classroom? It would be a pretty hard fact to face to find out that your child hates going to school, and worse, they haven’t learned anything or are severely behind. Well, whether you know it or not, it’s one of the biggest epidemics sweeping the nation right now. Every day that your child sits in their public school classroom, they are being disadvantaged by the so-called “right to a quality education” statute here in America. Public schools aren’t about quality, or even learning for that matter. Public schools are about litigation and compliance. There are laws that say kids have to go to school, and public schools satisfy that requirement. There are no laws that dictate the quality of teaching within public school, or teaching at all. The only requirement to be a teacher in some places is to pass a state test. Way to determine who’s a good teacher…NOT!

A little research would probably strike horror on your face from learning what your child actually did learn and what they should know. Chances are, your child is behind if they are receiving an education from the local public school, unless of course, they do a lot of studying on their own, and/or receive some type of extra tutoring. For one, these schools are highly overcrowded. The average classroom is usually twice the size it should be, and that alone is enough to hinder a child. You’ve got one teacher and 30 students. Tell me something. How are they supposed to teach those children and make sure they are actually understanding? It’s not possible. Classes are limited to an hour or less most of the time, and the school day is crammed with a ton of subjects, some of which have absolutely no educational value. Because of the high number of students, each child will “fight” for the attention of the teacher, and when they can’t accommodate your child, they get angry and sad, and get discouraged. After it happens a few times, they will give up and lose interest in school altogether. This is why you have so many kids drop out or flunk out of school. And the ones that do stick in there, they come out lacking even the necessary skills to hold a decent conversation at the least. Doesn’t your child deserve better?
