Although claimed to be a staple in most closets for decades, everybody knows before the song, “In My White Tee” by Dem Franchize Boyz, Black men were juking and jiving in their Fubu Jerseys and Pinwheel Fitteds. Thought to be an impossible feat, White Tees have single handedly united the Black community. Think of a White Tee as a modern day Martin Luther King.

Dem Franchize Boyz state in their ode to the White Tee,

I slang in my white tee,

I bang in my white tee,

All in the club spitting game in my White Tee.

Blacks from all walks of life can stunt gloriously in their White Tee. From little Dontre who can only afford his Tees during Footlockers 4 for $20 sale along with a pair of Air Force 1’s. Or maybe Richard, the 23 year old investment banker who wears his White Tee while golfing with his chums Joseph and Theodore. How about Fu’quan, who stands outside the local convenience store serving a plethora of pharmaceuticals.

Perhaps, the most important part of the White Tee is what some call “visibility”. As you know some people of African decent are darker than others. Along with the amount of ash on ones elbows, the White Tee is a way to distinguish a black person in the dark.

Note: A White Tee is complimented well with either pearl white teeth or a platinum grill. Some black individuals choose to whiten their teeth, this not only improves visibility, but compliments the White Tee superbly. However, this is for the wealthier Black man, due to the fact that there are no dentists in the hood.
